Employee Anti-Protest Conduct Creates Social Media Reaction

The Facts

A demonstration was underway near one of the insured's retail stores. The store manager took exception to the protest and placed a sign in the store window indicating she was against the protest. Someone posted a comment about the sign along with a picture of the store manager on social media with a note urging that "she be set straight".  The sign was removed, with  HR stating the sign violated company policy. Disciplinary action was taken.
