Our Insured, a publication company, received a demand letter alleging a copyright infringement claim from a large newspaper outlet. The letter contains allegations that the Insured used an image that was copyrighted by the outlet and demanded compensation and a license fee. The policy would have provided defense cover for the Insured, but our Insured was able to resolve the matter for a minimal amount within their retention.
