Examples or Scenarios

A professional footballer had his leg broken in a tackle. The injury was so severe that he was advised by medical professionals that his football career was over and he would never be able to play professionally again. The player had taken out career ending (PTD) policy and was able to claim off insurers the amount he was insured for, which can be up to 5x annual salary.
