Ex-employee went into casino carrying a shotgun. Requested to be taken to the surveillance office so he could review a tape from when he worked there, believing he was a target of organized criminals trying to poison him and believed there would be proof on the surveillance tapes.
While this was happening, staff member called 911 and evacuated the premises. Manager persuaded the subject he would be safer if they went back to his office, where they would call the surveillance office to notify them they were coming. He convinced the subject that they may react poorly if they just showed up there with a gun. He agreed. When they opened the office door, the police were waiting with guns drawn.
Subject was arrested; no physical harm resulted. No patron harm or impacts. Well managed response by insured.
